This page will contain the latest model news and opinions for Kawaski Motorcycles.  I've also received tons of Kawasaki news and information over the years so I decided to create this news page for all things Kawasaki!  Kawasaki Global

However a simple news page can be read anywhere so I've included my own interpretation, opinion and other comments on the news.

2010

A very much updated 2010 Kawasaki Concours 14 or GTR 1400 will be released.  I love the looks of the Concours 14 (modern interpretation of the 80's GTR) and I think so will most.  It just looks good in the latest edge inspired design theme that every manufacturer is doing these days. The mechanical details on the bike are also state of the art. The most wanted feature by far is the keyless ignition system that new cars come with these days - YAY. No more tank scratches or rattling keys on the dash.

There is also an ABS model which even includes traction control. Designed as comfortable long distance sport tourer to compete with stalwarts like the Honda Pan-European, Yamaha FJ13 and a number of BMW tourers.  It's priced lower than the others but has just as many features and has a re-tuned ZX-14 engine which means it has more real horse power than the others too!

The features list is extensive and includes:

  - KIPASS - Remote Ignition Activation and Security Transponder
  - Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
  - (ABS model) Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC)
  - (ABS model) K-ACT II Selectable, Sport Oriented Coactive Anti Lock Brakes

The all new 2010 Kawasaki Z1000 will also be released this year.  New engine and frame and gorgeous looks.  Yes I know its not popular in certain parts of the world but it should be great motorcycle nonetheless.  I'm going to put it on my shopping list if I do want another bike.  Sure it is not as aggressive as the latest Ducati or MV Augusta cafe racers but it is certainly up there.  The features list includes:

Updated 2010 Kawasaki Versys will also be released in 2010.  If you don't like the 'aggressive' Z1000 the updated Versys might be your thing!  The Versys in a twin 660cc with a dirtbike riding position and look.  I don't think its the prettiest motorcycle on the planet but it should appeal to some wanting something different.
