Now that a new model is available the main question I get asked is: Which year model Hayabusa should I get?

The choice between 2007 and 2008 is simple really, get the 2008 IF:

- you are unconcerned about genuine 300KPH+ showroom floor potential.  2007 models can be made to break 300kph by the installation of a TRE (Timing Retard Eliminator).  There are plenty of TRE's out there.

- you like the revised design and want the latest motorcycle.

- you are NOT concerned about what reviewers will enviably say.

If your considering a used or 2nd hand Hayabusa made between 1999 and 2007  ignoring the condition of the one you are looking at:

- 1999 to 2000: genuine 300kph motorcycle.

- 2003 to 2007: you want the revised ECU.

- 2003 to 2007: perceived reliability improvements.

- 2005 to 2007: you want the revised logo and revised lighting.

- Any other year: you like the colour scheme.
