Update 31/07/2000 :
Even more work, there's just no end !  Anyway a few questions to pose to visitors :

- Does anyone have any probs with the Hayabusa at high altitudes ?
- And what sort of mileage are you getting ?

A few new links including Mototek which has the most accessories I seen to date !  I've also included a new performance page which I'll be including performance modifications made by various owners and the results.   I'll also include Emails so that you can contact them direct if you have any queries on what they've done !  The page is not finished yet and like most stuff will be built on over time.

My Hayabusa is doing fine, although not being ridden too much lately.  Starts first go and still feels very tight.  Hopefully I have some more pictures shortly.  However due to the recent sub-frame incidents I'll be removing the GIVI rack I've added a few months back.  No word on the sub-frame solutions and incidents so I'm still looking.

Update 23/07/2000 : More work has come up and even busier now.  Will it never end.   If I'm a tad slow in replying there's a probably very good reason.  Anyway, I'm still asking around to see if there's any further news on the frame issue.  I've been sent some suspension mods to try out so I post the URLs/credits and so forth over the coming weeks.

I'm preparing a new specs and performance page so all of those with mods can try out what others have already tried and hence avoid problems and hopefully gain the benefits of experience by others...

My Hayabusa has again been resting very much so. Thus not much to report.  Definitely go for a decent spin next weekend.   Last weekend I did visit the NT European Motorcycle club annual show.  Again it was a very good effort and there where heaps of bikes to look at and things to watch.

Update 16/07/2000 : Well, still trying to catch up with life in general.

My experience/winge of the week involves a car/cycle dealer in darwin this week.  I was trying to get a brochure on the RT, no not the replace the Hayabusa but for other reasons.   If you want a BMW car or bike a Mazda or Jag Rover etc.. think again.  This is not a critism of the service or the manufacturer but of the particular salesperson in question.  I would hope the others if any are much better than this one.

You don't shout at potential customers esp me even more so when they don't know who you are even more so when they own one of the makes you sell.  (A neat and tidy appearence would help too.) It puts them totally of side and they do things like this, ie telling the whole world.  Needless to say I shall be telling every other friend, business and other MV dealer in town about it.  Yes I'm getting rid of the car and need something newer to carry things.

*** Note that the sales person in question no longer works for this company - wonder why ?  People like that give the whole organisation a bad name.

And the Hayabusa well, check out the NEWS page for details and pics about the sub-frame snapping,  Not a good sign, but at least you should be concerned if you carry pillions or lots of luggage.  More news as it arrives !  Again many thanks to everyone who sent me messages !  Apart from that the bike is running perfectly, had to adjust the idle speed as throttle was playing 'on/off' at low revs not good when cornering.  It did the trick much smoother with doing U-turns now.

Update 08/07/2000 : Another busy week, this time trying to catchup on things I'd been meaning to do but haven't.  Ordering new tyres vacuming, cleaning the place, washing and ironing answering mail, the list is endless.  I think I need a holiday.

My Hayabusa has had great break ? Only rode once.  Thanxs to Art Dowell for the picture of the silver Hayabusa.  It's lovely (sigh).   Also thanxs to BB who spotted an article in the UK based BIKE magazine that reported on the 186 mph top speed limit and various other self imposed restrictions on marketing based on speed etc...  You take a break and the world changes.  More new on the News pages !  And even more stuff over the next few weeks ! - well, I can't wait to finish them anyay.

Update 01/07/2000 : Here's the link to the silver Hayabusa pic ! Thnxs to AzureDevil this this ! Silver Hayabusa. Gee is there no end to the Hayabusa / ZX12 comparison...The US Motorcyclist magazine had given the ZX-12 the most honest meaningful review I have read.   So much so that I actully bought the Mag to read the whole lot.  Which is saying something.  Check out what I've summarised in the news section of this site NEWS.  The go into far more tech and speed limiter concerns.   Furthermore the Hayabusa actually made more power on the Dyno than the ZX-12.

I've done the update on Saturday as I managed to get some spare time.  Too busy tomorrow !
